The highest peak in the Gorce Mountains, admittedly outside the Gorce National Park (the border runs on the eastern and northern sides of the peak). Below the peak, there is a magnificent PTTK mountain hostel with more than 100 beds. Turbacz was already a popular tourist destination in the 19th century.
Recreational trails
There are several recreational trails leading to Turbacz, suitable for cycling and hiking, and in winter for ski-touring.
Shelter
At an altitude of 1,283 metres above sea level, on the edge of the Wolnica Glade, there is a chalet with a view of the Tatras and towards Lubań.
Crocuses
In spring, the glades near the chalet are filled with beautiful crocuses!
