The highest peak in the Gorce Mountains is located just outside the Gorce National Park (the border runs along the eastern and northern sides of the peak). Below the peak, there is a large PTTK mountain hut with over 100 beds. Turbacz was already a popular tourist destination in the 19th century.
Recreational trails
Several recreational trails lead to Turbacz, suitable for both cyclists and hikers, and in winter, for ski touring.
Mountain Hut
Located at an altitude of 1,283 meters above sea level, on the edge of the Polana Wolnica meadow, is a mountain hut offering views of the Tatra Mountains and in the direction of Luban.
Crocuses
In spring, the meadows near the mountain hut are beautifully filled with lovely crocuses!
