Luban is one of the most distinctive peaks in the area, reaching a height of approximately 1225 meters above sea level, making it one of the most important viewpoints in the region. Luban has two peaks: an eastern peak covered in forest and a western peak known for its expansive views. Between the two peaks lies the Wierch Lubania meadow. Luban has been popular for a long time; as early as 1860, visitors from Szczawnica would travel to the summit in peasant carts.
The Tower
While visiting Lubień, the observation tower is a must-see attraction, offering a unique view of Lake Czorsztyn and the Tatra Mountains.
Accommodation
At the top, there is a large meadow where the campsite is located.
The trail through the forest
For most of the way, the trail leads through the forest, but the summit is very exposed to the sun. Sunscreen will be useful in the summer.
Approaches
The hike can be started from Krościenko (the furthest point), Ochotnica Dolna, Grywałd, Tylmanowa, or Kluszkowiec (the shortest route).
Views
From the top of Luban, there is a picturesque view of the surrounding mountains and the landscapes of the Izera Valley, which attracts lovers of mountain hiking and landscape photography.
