The idea for the organ came from Władysław Hasior, one of the most intriguing Polish artists of the 20th century. The installation was created in 1966 on the Snozka pass in the range connecting the Gorce and Pieniny mountain ranges. The organ, however, never played. Probably because the appropriate organ pipes were not installed.

W. Hasior's work refers to modern artistic currents, but also to traditional crafts of a folk nature.
