The Przedni Staw Polski is the easternmost lake in the Valley of the Five Polish Lakes and serves as an important hub for hiking trails in the High Tatras. Located on its shore is a PTTK mountain hut, which is the only such facility in the Polish Tatras accessible only on foot. The history of this place is linked to the beginnings of tourism in the Tatras in the 19th century, when the first wooden shelters for travelers were built here. The lake is distinguished by its regular, oval shape and the presence of a small, grassy islet, making it a recognizable landmark on the map of the entire valley.
