Wielki Staw Morski is the largest high-mountain lake in terms of surface area, located in the Valley of the Five Polish Lakes in the High Tatras. This reservoir is distinguished by having the largest volume in the entire Tatra massif and a record depth, making it the deepest lake in these mountains. Historically, this area was associated with traditional pastoral farming, but today it is a key hub for hiking trails leading to Zawrat and the nearby Siklawa waterfall. A unique feature of the lake is its glacial origin and exceptional water clarity, which has attracted lovers of the pristine Tatra nature for many years.
