The PTTK mountain hut in the Valley of the Five Polish Lakes is the only tourist facility in the Polish Tatra Mountains accessible exclusively to hikers, which gives it a unique, high-mountain character. The stone building located above the Przedni Staw lake was built between 1947 and 1953, continuing the tradition of mountain huts built in this valley since the second half of the 19th century. This place is a key starting point for the most challenging trails in the High Tatras, including the Orla Perć trail and routes leading through Zawrat and Szpiglasowa Pass. Visitors can admire the largest waterfall in Poland, Siklawa, and a group of several glacial lakes with exceptionally clear water.
