Wołosate is the southernmost village in Poland, beautifully situated at the foot of Tarnica, right in the heart of the Bieszczady National Park. This village, with its historical ties to the Vlachs, was almost completely depopulated after World War II, but now serves as one of the most important starting points for expeditions to the highest peaks of the Bieszczady Mountains. A unique tourist attraction here is the Hucul Horse Conservation Breeding program, as well as numerous nature and history trails that document the rich past of the region.
