Połonina Bukowska is the easternmost part of the Polish Bieszczady Mountains, located along the border with Ukraine, directly adjacent to the Tarnica massif. Formerly used as a grazing area, it is now a strict nature reserve within the Bieszczady National Park, protecting rare plant species such as Moldavian hellebore and clustered pink. Due to strict nature conservation regulations, this area is inaccessible to tourists, as there are no marked hiking trails leading through it.
