Dworek Gościnny in Szczawnica is a theatre and hotel building, the foundations of which were laid in 1875 on the initiative of the founder of Szczawnica, Józef Szalay. The building was ceremonially opened in 1884 and to this day (admittedly with interruptions) serves the town as a multifunctional cultural and business centre.

Unique architecture
The Guest House has been given a distinctive style, typical of the region. It was built of larch wood and has numerous galleries, dormers and turrets.

Cultural meeting place
At the turn of the 20th century, Dworek Gościnny became the centre of cultural and entertainment life in Szczawnica. Famous personalities such as Helena Modrzejewska, Ludwik Solski or Maria Konopnicka visited the place, giving lectures, readings, and staging their plays.

Fire and reconstruction
In 1962, a fire broke out in the Guest House Manor, destroying the wooden structure. However, thanks to the efforts of the heirs of Count Adam Stadnicki and the local authorities, the Manor House was rebuilt and reopened in 2011.

Jazz bar
In the lower part of the Manor House is the club restaurant Jazz Bar serving international cuisine with elements of regional cuisine. You can eat here not only a burger, but also sushi or crème brûlée!
