Not far from Szczawnica is a small peak called Palenica (722 m). In summer, it becomes a great place to start a hike towards Malé or Central Pieniny, while in winter it turns into a pleasant ski slope.

In winter, a ski slope with 4 slopes of varying difficulty is opened here.

Palenica is a great starting point for trips to Pieniny Małe, especially Wysoki Wierch, Durbaszka and Wysoka.
Entertainment
Time on the palenca is enhanced by three taverns, children's trampolines, a gravity trough and, of course, sheep.
