In Kacwin, located in the Łapsze Niżne commune, a new open-air museum has been established, with traditional granaries as its main attraction. These are original Spisz region granaries – wooden storage buildings for grain, built on a stone foundation and plastered with clay, featuring a movable, sloping roof. They have recently begun to disappear from the landscape of Polish Spisz, so it was decided to preserve the ones that remain.

Souvenirs are not only found in open-air museums
In Kacwin, residents have gathered local souvenirs in the school. They are displayed in the hallway, and a board presenting the history of the region is hung on the wall.

Granaries
In the past, granaries served as storage facilities, and Kacwin was known for them. They were used to store potatoes, grain, and salted meat.
