It is difficult to determine when the parish in Kacwin was established due to the lack of relevant documents. It should be assumed that soon after the village was founded, a church was built and a parish was established to which the villages belonged: Kacwin, Frankowa, Osturnia and later still Frankovka. The establishment of the parish at the beginning of the existence of Kacvin is indicated by the custom and manner of settlement establishment at that time. The present parish church in Kacvin was built by the Berzevich family at the beginning of the 15th century. The construction of the church shows that it was built around 1400.
