Gładka Przełęcz, also known as Gładka Pass, is a wide saddle in the main ridge of the High Tatras, located between the Valley of the Five Polish Lakes and the Ciemnosmreczyńska Valley. Historically, the pass served as a convenient route for shepherds and smugglers, and at the end of the nineteenth century, one of the first hiking trails in the area was marked here. This place is distinguished by its gentle, grassy terrain, which provides a rare and spectacular contrast to the rugged, granite walls of the neighboring peaks. The main tourist attraction is the expansive panorama of the Liptov Tatras and the cirque with the Niżni Staw Ciemnosmreczyński lake, which can be admired from the trail that now leads from the Slovakian side.
