Bieszczady National Park, which protects the highest parts of the Polish Bieszczady Mountains, is famous for its unique ridge system, a feature unparalleled in the country, characterized by distinctive, expansive alpine meadows. Established in 1973, the park is the third largest in Poland and is part of the “Eastern Carpathians” International Biosphere Reserve, serving as a key habitat for bison, bears, and wolves. This area attracts tourists with its dense network of picturesque hiking trails leading to peaks such as Tarnica and Połonina Wetlińska, offering some of the most beautiful panoramic views in the Polish mountains.
