Smerek is a double-peaked mountain located at the western end of the Połonina Ridge in the Western Bieszczady Mountains. The name of the mountain comes from the Lemko language and means “spruce,” and its southern peak is crowned by a distinctive iron cross. The site attracts tourists traveling along the Main Beskid Trail and offers one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Wetlinka and Prowcza valleys.
