The Zaskalskie-Bodnarówka Nature Reserve is a landscape area in the Lesser Pieniny Mountains, established in 1961 to protect the unique landscape, forest and rare assemblages of rocky and thermophilous vegetation. It is located in the Szczawnica municipality, on the slopes of the Skalskie Mountain and in the valley of the Skalskie Potok. The reserve is an important part of the South of Poland Protected Landscape Area and the Natura 2000 network.

Area
The Zaskalskie-Bodnarówka reserve lies within the South Wallachian Protected Landscape Area, which is the buffer zone of the Poprad Landscape Park, highlighting its importance for nature conservation in the region.

Two large rocks
On the way into the reserve, you will come across an original rock gate formed by two large rocks - Hole Rock and Red Rock - which adds to the picturesque character of the place.

Difficulty
The path leading into the reserve is more difficult to follow, due to the dissection by vehicles pulling down trees and numerous large boulders, adding to the challenge for those wishing to visit the area.

Area
The area of the reserve comprises the valley of the Skalský Brook and the slopes of the Skalskie Mountain (789 m above sea level), where the stream forms a deep gorge with exposures of Carpathian flysch.
