Rakoń (1,879 meters above sea level) is a prominent peak in the Western Tatras, located on the Polish-Slovak border between Grześ and Wołowiec. It is an extremely popular viewpoint, offering one of the most beautiful panoramas of the steep slopes of the Rohacze mountains, as well as the Chochołowska and Rohacka valleys. In the past, the summit was heavily used by shepherds, and now, thanks to its gentle and grassy slopes, it is an easily accessible and attractive destination for hikers and high-mountain skiers.
