Ornak is a picturesque ridge in the Western Tatras, separating the Kościeliska Valley from the Chochołowska Valley. Its highest point reaches an altitude of 1867 meters above sea level. This place is famous for its rich mining history, dating back to the 15th century, and for the green trail that runs along the ridge, offering tourists extensive panoramic views of the High and Western Tatras. A unique feature of the massif is its high-altitude meadows, which were once used for sheep grazing and now captivate with their stark beauty and autumnal, reddish-brown hues of the sedge grass.
