The Starorobociańska Pass forms a distinct depression in the main ridge of the Western Tatras, separating Starorobociański Wierch from the Błyszcz massif. The name of this place refers to the historical mining of ores in the nearby valley, and its importance as a tourist destination was established as early as the 19th century. A popular red-marked border trail runs through the pass, offering wide views of the High Tatras and the deep Zadnia Raczkowa Valley. A characteristic feature of the pass is its substrate, composed of crystalline rocks, which supports the growth of specific high-mountain vegetation.
