Wysoki Wierch is located on the ridge of the Lesser Pieniny, directly south of Jarmuta, above the valley of Leśnicki Potok. From here, one can enjoy some of the most beautiful views of the Trzy Korony massif, the Tatras, the Gorce mountains, the Beskid Wyspowy range, the Beskid Sądecki range, and the nearby Golica group.
Steep ascent
The final approach is quite steep. Remember to wear appropriate footwear.
Sunlight exposure
The area around Wysoki Wierch is mostly treeless, so sunscreen might be useful.
Ski touring
If the winter conditions are good, ski touring is possible in the area around Wysoki Wierch and Durbaszka.
Shepherd’s hut
Below the peak, you’ll find a shepherd’s hut with a flock of sheep and cows – if you want to try authentic Pieniny cheese or bryndza, this is the perfect place!
