Jurgów is a historic village located in Polish Spisz, in the Spisko-Gubałów region, founded in the 16th century under Wallachian law. The main tourist attraction is the valuable, wooden Church of St. Sebastian and the unique set of shepherd’s huts on the Podokólne meadow, which testify to the region’s ancient traditions. The cultural heritage of the area is presented at the Sołtysów Farmstead, a branch of the Tatra Museum, where tourists can learn about the specific features of Spisz architecture and the region’s former way of life. Today, the village also attracts lovers of outdoor activities thanks to its modern ski resort and convenient location on the banks of the Białka River.
