The area known as Nad Zakosy is an important landmark on the tourist map of the Western Tatras, located above the distinctive bends of the trail leading from the Kondratowa Valley. The name of this place is directly derived from the layout of the old shepherd’s trail, which was used for centuries during grazing activities in what was once the Kondratowa pasture. Today, this area attracts tourists with its unique panorama of the Czerwone Wierchy peaks and the rich flora of calciphile plants that grow on the local rocks and meadows. This place stands out from its surroundings as a key stage of the ascent, connecting the historical heritage of the Tatra mountain pastures with the scenic beauty of the high-mountain trails.
