It is difficult to determine when the parish was established in Kacwin due to a lack of relevant documents. It can be assumed that shortly after the village was founded, a church was built, and a parish was established, which included the villages of Kacwin, Frankowa, and Osturnia, and later also Frankówki. The establishment of the parish in the early days of Kacwin is indicated by the customs and methods of establishing settlements at that time. The current parish church in Kacwin was built by the Berzevicz family in the early 15th century. The construction of the church indicates that it was built around the year 1400.
